Lifetime Achievement Awards
Ron Mobley, DTM, was a stellar Toastmasters member of District 49 and a key member in helping shape and mold our District to where we are today. Ron embodied the Toastmasters core values. Ron was the 1986-1987 District Governor. He was a long-time parliamentarian, and mentor to many that wanted to be speech contest constants. In 2016 he was awarded the first ever District 49 Lifetime Achievement Award.
On May 7, 2021 the District Council approved the name of the Lifetime Achievement Award to change to the Ron Mobley Lifetime Achievement Award.
The Ron Mobley Lifetime Achievement Award is to recognize outstanding members with long-term commitment to Toastmasters. To be considered for the award, the prospective awardee must live in Hawaii , be an active Toastmaster member in District 49, have achieved the Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) designation, have been a member in District 49 for at least ten consecutive years, and served at the district level in District 49 for at least two additional full years than what is required for DTM. The following qualify:

Member of the District Executive Committee

Committee Chairperson appointed by the District Director (or District Governor in the past)

Served as District Parliamentarian or Webmaster
