Aloha All, I am humbled and honored to be elected as your District Director this year. Thank you for your confidence and support. Let’s make District 49 Distinguished this year!

Toastmasters is an awesome program! For over 95 years it has proven itself in over 140 countries throughout the world and in many different languages.

I challenge all Toastmasters to step up and step out of your comfort zone and get the most out of your Toastmaster membership in this coming year. Set your SMART goals, develop your strategic plans,
execute those plans, and make adjustments along the way, till you achieve your goals. Toastmasters is like a gym membership; you must use it to get the most from it.

Do your speeches, achieve the objectives of each speech, and level up. Take on meeting roles and leadership positions. They will help you develop your communication and leadership skills. Many leaders
said that taking on leadership positions have really help them develop their communication skills and vice versa. The more you put in, the more you will get from it. Strive for what you want to be;
achieve; gain the skills to do; and take advantage of the opportunities Toastmaster has for you.

There is urgency - we are not getting younger, time does not wait, and whatever we gain now will help us and others for the rest of our lives. Toastmasters is a safe, encouraging, and learning environment
where members can develop their skills, confidence, and new visions for their life. It is also a place where we encourage others to achieve their dreams while achieving ours in the process.

My vision for 2022-2023 is for all our members and clubs to strive with integrity, respect, service and excellence, to reach their goals. When we align our actions with the  Toastmasters core values of Integrity, Respect, Service, and Excellence, we show up as a leader that enhance our club's quality experience that help members and ourselves attain our goals. In striving for your personal growth, remember that your growth will be best achieved through serving others. Remember your why and help your fellow members achieve their why as well.

Thank you for all you do and best wishes on your Toastmasters Journey and let’s make our district Distinguished this year!

Thank you to those who have signed up to be a club officer! Your commitment to not only furthering your growth but also to your club is commendable and greatly appreciated!

The Club Success Plan is a great tool to help provide vision and guidance for the upcoming year. Be on the lookout for upcoming incentives for submitting your Club’s Success Plan. “A goal without a plan is just a wish.” — Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

Mahalo fellow Toastmasters for the honor and privilege to serve as your District 49 Club Growth Director, 2022-2023!

As our members are truly the backbone of Toastmasters International, I look forward to working with men and women across our island state to further promote the retention and continued growth of our membership in our community and corporate clubs, as well as explore how we can work collaboratively to penetrate new markets. I also hope to collaborate with others to support challenged clubs and help them to become Distinguished.

If you share my passion or have ideas to grow and retain our valued membership, I would be absolutely thrilled to hear from you. Whether you’d like to chair or advise a committee or offer your insight or suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Let’s work collaboratively over the next year and beyond to keep moving our district forward!

Aloha, Lynn Araki-Regan
