Sherry M. Imamura-Ryan joined Toastmasters in March 2000 and is a Charter member of Pineapple Country, Catalyst, Hawaii Speakers Bureau, and Pathways Central Toastmasters clubs. She was served as an Area and Division Director and is currently the District 49 Education Committee Chair and the Youth Leadership Program Manager.
Sherry retired in 2011 after 37 years with the federal government working for the U.S. Department of Labor.
Since retiring, Sherry’s full-time joy is Toastmasters! She currently is a member of nine clubs! After earning her Distinguished Toastmaster educational award in 2017, Sherry has concentrated on paying it forward through mentoring, conducting District 49 training, youth leadership programs and district leadership.
Sherry was honored to be named Toastmaster of the Year in May 2018. However, she considers that her best achievements earned in Toastmasters are the personal relationships she has been able to develop with the many great Toastmasters members she has met!
Sherry is married to Retired Master Sergeant Paul Ryan, and has 2 children and 10 grandchildren.
